Excursion Programme
- For all excursions, notice and details will be circulated prior to each meeting. Please check for last-minute changes, arrangements or additional information.
- All meetings or excursions attended by members or their guests are entirely at their own risk. Any questions, contact the leader. Please notify the designated leader/contact of your intention to attend and include your contact details. For personal safety reasons, members and their friends attending any excursion should supply the leader with their mobile number on, or before, the day. If you have to cancel, please notify the leader.
- Participants should follow any safety advice given by the leader. Any health restrictions or advice will be observed with the safety of the whole group being paramount. Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear.
- If you have transport difficulties, make it known to the leader and it may be possible to arrange help. Car sharing is encouraged where possible.
- There is no obligation to attend the whole excursion so long as the leader is informed when you leave the group. If any cost is incurred for the event, the whole amount will only be refunded if a replacement can be found.

Saturday 18th 11am, Newshot LNR, Erskine. Mixed interest, birds, bryophytes, lichens, etc., in mixed woodland on the banks of the Clyde. Meet at small car park on right, close to river path. Marked with green sign, NS47057088. Leader Alison Moss.

Saturday 2nd 11am, Jenny’s Well Local Nature Reserve, Paisley. Mixed interest with woodlands, grasslands and pond. Meet at Reserve entrance on Jenny’s Well Road, NS49986269, PA2 7BH. Leader Kirsty Menzies.
Thursday 14th 7pm, Toryglen Park. Mainly trees. Meet at east end of carpark near park entrance NS 59553 61881. Leader Bob Gray
Sunday 17th 11am, Dundonald Wood SSSI, near Irvine, Ayrshire. Spring flora (e.g. bluebells), and mixed interest. Meet at Dundonald Castle visitor centre car park, NS36443460, KA2 9HD, what3words judges.carbonate.weeds. Leader Gill Smart.
June
There are no field excursions this month because of our 175th anniversary events.
July
Saturday 4th 11am, Havoc Meadows, Dumbarton. Mixed interest, plants, invertebrates, birds and more on this remarkable site. Leaders: Zoe Weir and Su Futter.
Thursday 16th 7pm, Festival Park, Govan. Mainly trees. Meet at entrance on Govan Road, NS5653264745. Leader Bob Gray.
Sunday 19th 11am, Flanders Moss NNR, near Kippen. Mixed interest, focusing on rich biodiversity of bog, including plants, invertebrates, reptiles and more. Meet at NS64779780, approx. FK8 3SA. Leader: Alison Moss.
August
Sunday 2nd 11am, Greenhall, Millheugh, and Barnhill LNR. Mixed interest with wide range of habitats, including riparian. Plants, invertebrates, etc. Meet at car park, entrance is at NS669565. Leader: Andy Wilson.
Sunday 30th 11am, Clachan of Campsie, Kirk Glen and Campsie Glen. Mixed interest, geology, plants and fungi. Meet at centre of Clachan of Campsie, NS61067952. Leader Alison Moss.
Autumn
As usual there will be at least two additional joint meetings with the Clyde and Argyll Fungus Group.
